JAMAL MOORE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Jamal Smiles annually awards the Jamal Moore Memorial Scholarship, offering up to $1,000 to a graduating high school senior in Louisiana who has demonstrated exceptional academic performance, active participation in school, and a commitment to continuing their education.

  • SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS:

    1. Must be a graduating high school senior in Louisiana

    2. Minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher

    3. Accepted to an accredited institution

    4. Must submit an essay as part of the application process (see topic below)

    5. Email most current Progress Report, Essay, and Acceptance letter (if applicable) to jenea@jamalsmiles.com no later than May 9, 2025. Include "Scholarship Application" in the subject line.

    The scholarship recipient will be notified via email and announced on our social media platforms on May 30, 2025

    Essay Prompt:

    IN YOUR OWN WORDS, reflect on a time when you made a difference in someone’s life or your community. What inspired you to take action, and what impact did it have? How has this experience influenced your goals, and how do you plan to continue making a positive difference through your education and career?
